La Espabilá Spanish Extra Virgin Olive Oil
La Espabilá refers to the land – ready, alive and alert (from the Spanish word “espabilada”).
La Espabilá are a small family run company from Montellano in the Sierra Sur mountains of Seville, Andalucia.
La Espabilá began in 2017 and their Organic Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil is available in 250 ml and 500 ml bottles. The Arbequina variety is very fruity, smooth and light.
The oil is made exclusively from green olives picked on the first day of harvest. The fruit is taken straight to the mill in crates to keep them in pristine condition and milled at night so that their acidity is low. The oil is cold-pressed, again to maintain its quality.
La Espabilá are certified organic by the Andalucian Center of Organic Agriculture (CAAE).
The bold, colourful design captures the traditional world of Spanish olive oil (the land, sun and the Mediterranean) with a young, contemporary feel.
